Aluminum wheel cleaner: must-have ways to properly clean and polish aluminum wheel

When cleaned and polished, aluminum wheels cost owners the most patients. Because aluminum is a relatively soft metal, which means it responds well to polishing. Cleaning and polishing aluminum is very rewarding and it is an absolute must if you want to keep aluminum wheels looking like new. It would be better if you choose an aluminum wheel cleaner when cleaning.

It is recommend that clean the wheels before washing your vehicle. Cleaning wheels first will prevent brake dust and dirty water from splashing onto a clean car. Rinse aluminum wheels to remove loose dirt and break dust. Be sure to rinse between spokes, the brake calipers, and behind the wheels. Remember, brake dust can creep into every little crevice.

Spray one wheel at a time with an aluminum wheel cleaner. After cleaning, you can start to polish the aluminum wheels. Apply an aluminum brightening cleaner to the wheels. This will help restore the aluminum and remove oxidation. Wipe the wheels with a cloth.

Apply the polish, which can come in liquid or paste form and rub the polish into the rims. Use smooth strokes going in the same direction when shining aluminum wheels. Use a toothbrush to polish hard-to-reach spots on your wheels. Place a soft cloth around the toothbrush so the bristles don't mar the finish. Concentrate on polishing small areas of the wheel at one time before moving on. Apply a finishing polish to the rims.

Polish your aluminum wheels until you can wipe each rim with a cotton cloth without soiling the cloth. The more you rub, the shinier the wheels will become. Check the tire to see whether there is a problem or not, then use a tire sealant to repair it!
